Odd vibration GLK 250 Bluetech

I have an odd vibration and was wondering if anyone here has experienced anything like this. My car is a 2013 GLK 250 Bluetec Diesel with only 50k on the odo. The car fires up and runs beautiful, idles smooth as silk in neautral / park. But when I drop it in gear, either reverse or drive I get a vibration. If I move the steering wheel back and forth the vibration will either amplify or disappear (I can make it do both). When I stop at a traffic light the vibration may or may not show up, if it does, I move the steering wheel and can make it go away. Then when I drive off (from a dead stop) it will vibrate just for a couple seconds then smooth out, it will also vibrate a little when it shifts from first to second, but completely goes away after that. It runs down the highway incredibly smooth and quiet. Because of this, the car has been through several owners. According to Carfax, a MB dealership replaced the torque converter thinking the issue was there, and another shop replaced the left motor mount, and that didn’t fix it either.

If you shift back and forth from reverse to d with no foot on brake does it clunk? Or accelerate on off does it clunk, my bad front drive shaft did that. Get it on a lift and look for anything loose. Have someone run it and make the noise while it’s pinpointed. If it breaks while driving and it’s the front drive shaft u joint the repair could be the value of the Glk. Take it somewhere to be diagnosed and fixed . 2-3 owners , seems like someone beat it up . I would not be driving it until I knew . The transfer case could be the issue. There are good guaranteed parts on eBay,

No there isn't any clunking as in a bad u joint or slop in the drive train, and I find it hard to believe the car was beat. If you could see the car you would know what I mean. As I said, other than this weird vibration the car is awesome. It only has 50k on it, it looks and runs like a new car. The interior is spotless, in perfect show room condition. Other than a couple minor blems the exterior perfect as well.

At only 50 k and to develop a serious drive train issue it was logically beat, it doesn’t take 5 minutes to do something like that . Looks mean nothing. I ruined my front driveshaft in one minute getting stuck on ice and snow. Two previous owners ! You have no idea how it was driven .

"Because of this" ... because of "what"? Because of the odd vibration, it's been thru multiple owners?

(sidenote: the shop should have replaced *both* mounts, so they have the same lifespan).

Has the vibration existed since day one of ownership?
If No, then "what changed" when the vibration began? Some service-work?

The symptoms really sound like worn mounts.
If only one mount was replaced, that's weird, typically they both go around the same time... they tend to wear at a similar rate, and it makes sense to replace in pairs (especially since a ton of crap has to be dismantled to get to them).

Well I learned that both motor mounts were recently replaced, and a few months ago, a MB dealership replaced the Torque Converter and flywheel thinking that was the source of the vibration. The trans mount wasn't replaced so I may do that. The odd thing about the vibration is it only occurs at idle in gear, no vibration at all in neutral. And, I can turn the steering wheel from side to side (while idle in gear) and I can make the vibration either intensify or go away completely. When launching from a stop, you can feel the vibration just slightly (sometimes) for a few seconds then it completely goes away. I know it's not a problem with the engine as it always runs smooth as silk. What is really odd to me is that this is my second GLK 250 blue tech. I sold my first one with 147k on the clock and it ran, drove, handled like a new car. It needed paint but the interior was a 10/10 perfect condition. This car is almost identical to my first one, same color with great paint, interior is perfect. And it only has 50k on the clock and an odd vibration.
