Ac vent issue
In the past in summer I’ve had a mold issue with the AC and treated it successfully years ago , but it came back last year. Last week I used the ac for the first time since summer and of course smelled some mold . It would always not smell if I used Vent - no Ac. I believe that’s because a vent door automatically closed. But today on heat mode it smells like AC mold and I’m thinking a vent door failed to operate. I’m thinking to fix this could be a dash removal which I won’t do. Does anyone have an idea on how to check this out?
I will be treating the coil for mold real fast if this doesn’t stop. It’s just not a job for the winter time . I know some models some time ago had a recall on AC Coil Mold .
