2017 GLS450 (on order)
GLS delays...
I've been waiting on a GLS 450 I ordered to be shipped from the plant. It was built over 2 weeks ago & the dealer kept saying it should arrive any time now. I got a call this morning from them saying they found out that a supplier to MB sent faulty A/C hoses & they aren't going to release them until those are replaced.
Has anyone else had a GLS delayed or heard of that?

There has not been any "specific" stoppage or delay on 2017 GLS450's - au contraire - by and large 17 GLS450's have been cranking out very smoothly - and completed production dates as much as 10 days ahead of originally scheduled production decade.
Running roughly ahead of planned schedule - there has been some added delay for "Release to Carrier".
Yes - there could have been a AC hose run on your rig - or any part for that matter - that was caught during the VPC Survey - which would show as a "VPC delay" for your rig until corrected/retrofitted.
When on hold for a retrofit/corrected part - they can't pull the part from the line - and it has to get shipped in special by the vendor for your retrofit.
But - no - there has not been a general GLS450 AC hose problem... just got extra 3 in Friday above and beyond expectation... (car God's are smiling)..

If anyone else has a GLS that has been held up as mine was, they are apparently making headway with replacing the faulty part. I got a message from the dealer saying mine would arrive either Thurs. or Fri. I'm in a state adjacent to Alabama so it doesn't take them but about 4 hours to make the trip. It's been sitting there built for 3 weeks so I'm glad to get it headed this way.
