Finalizing my Build
In the process of finalizing the build for my GLS450.
Build is as follows:
Selenite Grey
Pano Roof
Running Boards
Ginger Beige/Espresso Brown MB-Tex
Burl Walnut
Heater Steering Wheel
Premium 1
Manual 2nd Row Sunshades (for the little ones)
Power Easy Entry
Park Assist
Anything i'm missing that's a "must have"? Also, it sounds like i have to pay a special order fee to get the sun shades. Any other special orders i should tack on like rear airbags?
Any help would be appreciate! Thanks.

Sure... 3rd zone Climate Control for one biggie...
Appearance Package will be more affordable for you than "just" running boards.
Depending on "how little" you may want to revisit EZ-Entry to confirm 2nd row headrests with EZ are OK for you/kids.
Trailer hitch for additional rear end collision protection for the cabin passengers.
I strongly suggest you get wrapped up quickly if you want delivery on/before Thanksgiving... tick, tock, tick tock - you're running short of time in just a few days..

What's the difference in the second row headrests with and without ez entry? Our kids will both be in carseats.

I agree with Fabbris. Ez entry is a nice touch. Both mmy kids are in car seats, I generally put one in the middle row and one in the 3rd row, so that we can still use the 3rd row. Ez entry sounds like a gadget but it's really a nice feature and I would be really annoyed not to have it now that I have tried it. Appearance package is good because it also protects the resale value a little better. I have the 21in wheels and there is still plenty of "meat" on the tire to take the abuse of bad roads. nothing compared to having 21in wheels on a sport car for example. I also agree on the hitch. It adds some protection, and this also helps with resale value. I would add the LED lights (not sure if that is included in the P1 in the US). LED lights are absolutely amazing, the way they adapt to the traffic is quite a show in itself. Then I would also add the driver assist package (line tracking, automatic braking, distronic plus).

There is no difference. They just automatically come back to their lower position when you activate the EZ entry so that the seat can fold without the headrest touching the back of the front seat.

I have kids in car seats and the issue in the above thread was referring to the GL model. The headrest problem has been resolved in the GLS. Get the easy entry and PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE... GET THE LIGHTING PACKAGE!

Lighting/ appearance packages are musts, I would agree.
Trailer hitch, for $500, is money well spent. 3 zone will be nice in a few years when kids are older. Easy entry also.
Park assist, if a stand alone option, you'll probably never use.

Well... no the "headrest" difference between NO EZ-Entry and EZ-Entry CAN be a issue depending on height of 2nd row passengers..
2nd EZ-Entry for change orders where original order does not have EZ-Entry - EZ-Entry can put you into Jan 2017 delivery.
Sticky wicket..

We had the second row headrest removed from the dealer on our GLS as well, our previous two GL we had them also remove them, so no, the issue is still there but the dealer can easily accomodate.

2017 GLS450 (on order)
I've had my GLS 550 for about 5 weeks & one of the most often used features is the ventilated seats. If you're in a hot climate, you should consider them.
