bench seats problem

Hi I used the easy entry push button function on the bench seats of my car, however when trying to move the seat back, I can only move the seat back and not the back rest. Am I doing something wrong?

The latch maybe stuck. Try moving the handle on lower part of the seat. Sometimes it gets stuck. Happened to me a few days after I got mine. Took it in and they fixed it. Happened to me on both sides.

Thanks for the info, apparently the seat was not engaged fully (even though it clicked it when I folded it down). I pushed down onto the seat firmly and the back rest was released at that point.

Ha, yes thats another faut I've had in ours. see 'th emost faults in a GLS' thread.

The 2/3 bench needs to be 'slammed' back or pushed hard on the inside edge to lock it & release the lock outs. Then the front seat will reurn to its original position.

even when mine is folded forward I get a dash warning saying its not locked.

Thank you, I've had to slam down the seats to get it to lock.
