How come speed is shown on mph in Australia

How come speed is shown on mph in Australia
I got my GLS 350d, and would like to have speed appear instead of temp on permanent display. However, it is the only mph can be used and no choice to chance to change kph.

Thanks for the reply.
I checked the manual, on page 251 permanent display, and on page 252, only Dig. speedo [mph], no kph choice.

Dig speedo [mph] is to replace temp display only on the permanent display area (top and narrow zone, next to dig clock).
I just spoke to my dealer regarding my topic. I got feedback that it was not changeable for the multicountry purpose. Manufactory has to keep the both of km and mile display as possible in different counties. I understand that issue, in euro, Nth America, it is ok. But, it is useless here, Australia, one country on the one continent surround by water.
Moreover, there is missing function on Australian model as well, such as connect me, traffic in live display (speed limited), and Mercedes me.
Feel that it is far behind here.
