When I lock or unlock the car and the mirrors fold in/out there is a squeaking sound. I called the dealer and they said that I should come in and they would lubricate the mechanism. I did some research on that topic and it seems that lubricating never fixed the issue for long.
It also appears to me that the noise is coming from plastic parts rubbing on another vs. some gears inside the mirrors? Has anyone else here had that issue?

I have a similar issue with the driver's side mirror on my 2015 E400. It only happens intermittently, and thus far the dealer "cannot replicate" the noise. I'm waiting until next service.
