I’d love to run the big wheels all year in the northeast. I know a smaller narrower tire works better in snow, but I’m willing to ski a bit with the big sneakers is the winter.. That said perhaps a slightly downsized tire would be best. Does anyone have pics of a 275/45 21 on a GL/GLS? I wonder if the rim is too exposed to curb damage? I ran 255 winters on our original 08’ GL450 wheels in place of the OEM 275s. It looked a little odd. Wouldn’t do it again. Just to be clear, I’m using the OEM 295/40 21 summer tires for 3 seasons. This post is just in regards to the winter tires.

Pirelli winters come in both 295/40 21 and 275/45 21. Any feedback is appreciated.

I run the 275/45 Winters. Smooth ride. Good winter performance. Do it.

with the 21 inch oem wheels? Could you post a few pics to see what the sidewall looks like?
