Help! Coolant gushing out.
I had left my 2017 GLS 550 parked at the airport for over a week and I just brought it home. It was an hour drive. When I got out of the car, I noticed vapor coming out of the hood and liquid spilling on the floor. I popped the hood and noticed coolant gushing out of a small (one inch) pipe that points upward on the right side of the engine. I took video of it, which I'll post shortly.
I need to take my car on a road trip tomorrow so I don't have time to take it to the dealer. Any idea what this could be and if it's something I could fix?
Thanks,
Alvaro

is not the larger hose just below with squeeze clamp ment to be on that fitting?
does not look like it is connected to anything.
If so: Re-attach and refill coolant and Burp it to make sure all air is out.
Then ask WHY?

Let it idle with fill cap off and watch temp make sure it gets hot enough for thermostat to open.
Turn on heat inside to max
Once thermostat is open water pump should push any air out of block and into expansion tank keep her full up to hot line as you go.
If you have large enough air pocket and drive off the air will work its way back into tank and/or radiator and you can overheat again since not enough coolant.
The fitting looks cracked and I wonder if this will happen again?
I would pressure test as well to see. and look very good at that black hose fitting to ensure no cracked else you will be doing this again excepot might end up with sever engine damage
