2019 GLS 450
I have owned this car for 1 month. I had to add a quart of oil at 1500 miles. I used the under hood dip stick to check the oil and it was in the middle therefore I added 1 quart of oil. The engine was warmed up and on level ground. Checked the oil level after 5 minutes from shutting down.
Is this normal?
Will oil consumption continue after the engine is broken in?

It is a range and anything in between is normal fill.
No need to add oil.
If you are worried about the long term do a first initial oil change at 2500k and then follow regular service intervals.
