Oil level above max after dealer oil change
2 days ago I had a B-Service done at Mercedes of Chicago and today I checked how much oil they put in the engine. I checked after the car had sat over night and after I drove it today and both times the level was above max. I called the dealer and they said to come by and they would correct it Has anyone had issues because of overfill?

Overfill actually is Bad - have them adjust soonest at no charge - it happens at some shops in Winter - proper spec is to run engine to operating temp 1st - then pump out the oil - warm oil flows down from the head/block channels more smoothly - cold oil tends not to film/stick up in the engine channels (like cold oil should) resulting in about 1/2 qt less drain out - tech's full spec - yep, overfill..
You will be running it into the dealer warm... they will take it in warm ... all will be smooth when they pump out a bit-at-time - a 10min shop thing max..
