Guys, just a quick question.

do you guys know how does mbrace release the car location ? and how to manually disable the sim card ? is there anyway we can remove the sim from the vehicle ?

Probably not worth removing, keeping it in the GLS makes it easier to track if stolen or someone tries to illegally export. I would suggest you hit the info button in your MB and talk to the folks at mbrace about how to disable or remove should you feel the need, they are actually rather friendly folks.

I highly doubt its actually a chip to remove but it maybe rather built within the com board itself and not able to be removed is my guess. Since the car uses various methods of communications they would likely not build the circuits with the use of a sim card like cell phones use. I know that to be the case in american made cars, likely the same methods in other manufactures...
Good luck though trying to find out more
