GLS Order Date
I visited two Mercedes Dealers today and was told that I could place an order for a GLS 450, but could not place an order for a GLS 580. The GLS 580 order bank was not open and they did not know when it would be open. Is this common? Does anyone have an idea when I wiil be able to place an order for a GLS 580?

Yes it's quite common.
Give the dealer your order, they will put it in the order bank when it opens.

The Options and Option Packages are priced in the Dealer Order Guide - and those prices "should" be accurate when the GLS580 order bank is opened.
However - the 2020 Base Price has not been announced yet - and with the extensive added "standard features" for the 2020 GLS - you can expect a 2020 Base Model Increase over Base Model 2019.... if I had to "guess" I would expect "about" $3K-$4K - but that's just my guess-timate
1st in line is the BEST position to be - there are NOT GOING TO BE A LOT OF GLS580's built this this year....
