Added Wheel Spacers to my GLS450

Bought some wheel spacers for the GLS. Fills the wheel wells nicely and gives it more of an aggressive look.

They are H&R wheel spacers. 15mm front and 20mm rear.

Have them check for radial or axial wheel run-out. The machine should be able to do that.

I don't see any reason to. Spacers shouldn't cause any radial run-out issues especially if the are hub-centric. Shouldn't have any axial run-out issues either with quality spacers and good cleaning of hub and wheel mount surfaces.

nice. Pics probably don't do justice though. Did you get longer bolts as well?
Any improvement in ride, for a big rig like this?
Thanks

The stock bolt shaft is 14x1.5 45mm

so a 15mm spacer needs a 60mm shaft, 20mm spacer needs a 65mm shaft.

I think I might go with 25 / 30 or somewhere in that range, to make it noticeable. Let's see what i can find from H&R.

Was considering spacers too. Just got a new set of 22x10.5 wheels, and they're nice and flush, bit of poke. Problem solved.
Also, big rig has wider footprint , hence more stable and planted than before.
chirboiz,

Bob

I really really wanted to squeeze a 285 45 22 in there, but it isn't possible. Maybe a 295 40 22 tire will not rub and beef up a bit, but that's it. X166 has smaller wheel wells than x167( yes, i measured them).
nonetheless, big rig drives/feels proper now on wider footstance/print.
Toyos are awesome!!

What is the wheel spec of the TSWs? Also what tire size you used? Can you post pictures from the front and rear showing how flush it is on the fenders. Thanks.

GLS350d V6 AMG Line G-Tronic
In this last pic the car seems to sit much lower than the previous "shiny and clean" pics above...? How so?

I absolutely love the way it looks by the way! Diesel prices in the UK have gone through the roof since the war in Ukraine started - we're at around £1.73 per litre and as high as £1.97 in some locations, so my GLS350 days could well be numbered. If i do keep it into the summer I'm gonna switch to 22s.

Got it!
One last question does GLS450/550 have same body width as 63AMG? I am ordering custom made forged wheels, no refund, so gotta double check on every spec make sure it will be the look I am looking for
Thanks!!
