Hey folks...
Question.. when using distronic plus, when the car applies the brake to slow down especially on the highway etc. does the rear brake lights ever go on to let the person know behind you that the brakes are being applied?

Yes, you see this on 18-wheelers, too ... they have lots more momentum to control down hill.

Non-Distronic works the same way, when decelerating with activated cruise control. I am not fond of that usage of my brake pads. I prefer that the cruise control system allow the vehicle to decelerate without applying hydraulic pressure to the brakes, for example when selecting a lower set speed with the cruise control stalk.
