To my surprise, when carefully vacuuming out my GLS the other day, the manual shift mode button got sucked right up off the center console, nothing but gravity was holding it in place. Also found that the air suspension height button was the same. I was able to retrieve the manual button from the vacuum bag undamaged and it does go right back in place but I really don't want to worry about it coming off and getting lost or damaged.
Strange, the buttons on our GLS are tightly in-place. I found this pic on the web, looks like it is not an uncommon issue.
EPC shows the part as a whole unit with no separate buttons.
Yes, that's it, thanks. I would have never known had my car vacuum not sucked one of the buttons up, they all look and operate properly, just happens that nothing is holding them down!

Anyone else have this happen?
I had that happen on ours just yesterday.
What I thought was unglued, appears to be a broken tab tower.
It mounts on two tabs, and it looks like one of the tabs has part of the tower broken off. I’m inclined to see if I can either find a replacement, or use some type of glue and UV light, to rebuild the little tabs broken off.
We’ll see. (or I let gravity hold it in place and be more careful when vacuuming).
This picture should help. Broken tower or tab on the top. What looks like a normal tab on the bottom.
Same switch rotated, good tab on the top, and broken tab on the bottom.
