I've seen others posting pictures of their new vehicles fresh from the dealer. I figured I'd show mine with 1000 miles on it. Thule roof box, bike rack, and ski rack. 4 humans and one great dane to the mountains for a long weekend.
I know some don't like the MB cross bars, and I was hesitant at first, but it positiions the box directly accessible from any of the four doors.

We just took our 4th ski trip of the year. We have the MBZ ski rack that mounts on the cross bars. Unfortunately on of the plastic holders cracked (stress from banging against low garage ceiling or car wash?) so now I will have to shell out to replace as I doubt they sell the part. But it is easy to fit a family of 4 plus ski equipment.
Thankfully the roads were pretty clear as my front tires (Michelin) will need replacement this year. though the GLS did fine with slick roads and light snow.
