What year CPO GLS to buy?

My wife’s 2014 Lexus RX was just totaled and we are in the market for a new vehicle. We have settled on getting a 2017-2019 GLS. Specifically found a 2017 CPO GLS 450 we may get. Did MB work out any issues between the 2017 and 2018 models? As far as reliability, is there a year or model that is better? Any reason from a reliability stand point to get a 550 instead of the 450?

Thanks for any input!

2017 to 2019 is exactly the same as far as the 450.
All 3 years are extremely reliable.
I have a 2017 it's been great.
The only issue was the air suspension had to get serviced.
Under warranty.

A 2019 GLS is the best pre owned MB available imo. Reliable and luxurious with all the options.

We've had a 2017 since new. 53k miles so far with only recommended maintenance every 10k miles. Love it, except for the terrible standard headlights. Hope the one you're interested in has the optional adaptive headlight system.

If you can, look at a 550 next to a 450. You may (like I do) prefer the more aggressive stance of the 550. It is subjective, of course, but I prefer the way the front looks, I also like the understated fender flares and the bigger tires of the 550. I also very much like the power of the 550. The twin-turbo V8 will really get your attention.

Also, a small thing but the 550 comes standard with power-ventilated front seats. Important for us here in Texas. Finding a 450 with this option is quite difficult.
