2019 GLS 450
Wanted an opinion! Found a pretty well loaded GLS 450, almost all of the options, low miles and still under factory warranty right over 50K asking price. Does that seem like a good price in this market? Wanted to see how are the motors on these? I had 14 GL550 that had cylinder slap, and engine failure. New V6 TT motors, are they more reliable? Should we choose 18-19 550 over 450? Thanks

The M276 V6 is the most reliable MB engine in a decade or more. Both TT and NA versions seem equally solid.
The M278 550 is well loved by owners for power and torque, but the engine is developing a reputation for cylinder scoring (fatal flaw) at higher mileage.
IMO the 2019 GLS 450 is the best preowned MB available today. Best options if I was in the market are Designo interior, AMG exterior and off road engineering drivetrain. I am not a fan of lane keeping assist or Distronic but that is a personal preference.
