Infotainment Screen

Hi,
Would someone please let me know if it's possible to upgrade the infotainment screen to an aftermarket wider screen that incorporates ALL the functions. Would there be any compatibility issues?
Would upgrading the screen block have all other functions of the infotainment system like controlling the lighting, systems, and functions?
Would other functions (other than navigation and entertainment) get blocked? Would the new setup require switching back and forth, or the new infotainment be able to read and control all functions other than navigation and entertainment. Any recommendations on compatibility of certain brands and models for 2017 models and newer 2017-19 GLS?
