Rear Pads - Metallic vs. Ceramic

Hi all. New member. I did do a search for this before I created a new thread and didn't have much luck. Just replaced my rear brake pads and rotors last weekend. I went with the ATE metallic pads from FCP Euro. I have driven around 50 miles since replacement and it has rained for the last several days. I noticed today after dropping kids off that the wheels are absolutely covered in brake dust. Way more than it was before. I understand that ceramic pads produce much less dust. Just curious if anyone has replaced metallic with ceramic. Also wondering since my rotors are brand new, does anyone see an issue with just swapping out the metallics with ceramics? I am looking at the TRW Ultra Compound ceramics from FCP Euro. Thanks in advance.

I replaced my rear pads for ceramic ones for this very reason. Much less brake dust.
I kept the fronts semi metallic to retain the initial "bite".

If you swap your rear semi metallic pads for ceramics i would scuff off the rotors to maybe remove the old material first?

Then once the new pads are installed do a proper bedding.
