Somehow one of the front driver's side floormat retaining caps has broken off. This is the part that the floormat clips into.
I was thinking of just epoxy gluing the part back together.
You should be able to buy a replacement on ebay or amazon. You will also need to reinforce the backside of the carpeting, so it doesn't pull out again.
