2019 GLS 450 - Adding USB Ports
For a 2019 GLS 450 with the USB ports inside the center console storage, I'd be interested in adding USB ports somewhere outside the center console while keeping the factory original ones if it's possible.
I use Apple CarPlay and the cord and/or USB connection could get damaged over time in addition to pinching the cord in the console doors from time to time. I'd use a shorter cord to connect my iPhone and keep the center console just for storage and other stuff.
Has anyone added USB ports that they like and would install again?

Can anyone confirm that they've successfully swapped the USB-A connector (2019) for a USB-C?
The rear connector looks like it's just power and data so I wouldn't be surprised if it's compatible and there is a USB controller inside the part.
It looks like there are both remanufactured ($34) and new MB parts.
