Anyone experienced the coolant tank just split from front ? No check engine light yet. Have to leave for a 1000 mile trip tomorrow but now I'm skeptical...
Can't say I'm surprised, they really should be replaced every 5 years or so. They're pretty cheap. Our '17 GLS 550 has 44k miles and I'm probably going to get one on order, I don't want to be stranded in this Phoenix heat.

This is a turbocharger cooler, not radiator cooler thought both use identical pink coolant. This tank is a two-piece design and this is 100% normal. Go on a road trip worry free. Surprised that folks with 4.6L TTV8 and 3L TTV6 do not know it by now (based on posts from users with 550 and facelift 450).
