P04567A Evap Code

2017 GLS450, 2013 GL450, RIP 2011 GL450 (totalled)
P04567A Evap Code
2018 GLS 450; got the above code; 'A very fine leak in the evap emission controls system was detected. Leakage or a defective seal was detected.' Also received message about gas cap. Put on two different gas caps, CEL kept coming back after being cleared.

Mechanic couldn't find anything obvious so did a smoke test and it was the vapor canister. I ordered both the canister and purge solenoid and will have it replaced within the next few weeks.

Couldn't find anyone else on internet with x166 v6 that had this problem, so here it is to others in the future searching this code...

New canister and purge valve fixed it. Found the parts on mbpartshaus.com.

@mcoady1 was the purge valve the one next to the canister or the one in the engine bay?

The purge valve connects the canister to the intake manifold so the vapors stored in the canister can be purged.

Yes there's the main purge valve in the engine bay and another valve next to the canister, that is my understanding?
