2017 GLS 450 Service b
I recently purchased a 2017 GLS 450 with 80,000 miles service be is coming up and I want to perform this service myself.I’m looking for recommendations For grade of Synthetic oil I should use as well as filters brands. Air engine, oil and cabin filters.

I have always went with either Mobile 1/Motul/Liqui Moly depending on which car I'm changing. For my GLS450 I went with this kit for oil and filter https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...61800009-7l-ml
You can get OEM brand Kengst or Mahle for air filter. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...gst-2760940504
For you cabin filters you can get Kengst or Genuine Mercedes which provides you with all 3 filters for cabin filters. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...des-2928300000

Hi,
I recently purchased a 2017 GLS 450 as well and it has 70k miles. I need a service B and my local dealer is charging me $800 for this service. Given that the car has had service up to 64k miles at MB dealer throughout its life should I just bite the bullet?

I just did the B service on my 2015 GL 450. I bought everything from FCP euro. For oil change I did the following (this is what another member did and posted and sounded pretty good)liqui moly pro-line engine flush 2 cans. Run engine for 5 mins to flush. Then drain
Replace oil with liqui moly leichtlauf 5w40
Add Liqui moly MoS2 Anti Friction Engine treatment 2 cans
Add liqui moly Pro Line Fuel System Clener to gas tank
Next Fill up add DI Jectron Fuel Injector Cleaner
In addition B service calls for brake fluid flush which I did. (I bought a machine)
My car was also due for engine air filters so those were included in the cost above along with cabin air filters

Your automatic transmission fluid change is due right around that 70-80,000 mile mark. If it hasn't already been done, that adds a level of difficulty to the DIY project...

Service B message reset
I just Completed Service B, which was pretty straightforward thanks to the older help from this forum. However, I’m having trouble accessing other menu with the assist plus’s menu. I believe I am following the instructions to a T, and still I cannot gain access.
After I press the start stop button once with foot off the brake
On the old odometer screen
I’m pressing the answer phone button for one second
Then, within a second, I am pressing and holding the OK button for five seconds
The screen t changes to reset trip odometer and nothing but nothing else.
Any thoughts or experiences with this issue?
