Strange findings on coolant cap?
My ‘17 GLS550 recently has had a “check coolant level” light that comes on periodically. The level looks slightly low, but when I checked the reservoir and noticed strange little pieces of some type of pink debris on the cap and mouth of the reservoir. Can anyone explain this?

The gasket on the cap is bad. Replace the cap.

GLS550
The coolant cap on the GLS550 is a known failure point. They are around $45 at the dealership and less than half that from FCP Euro.

Ditto, just had the same error on '17 GLE as the cooler temps hit the area New camp on order too!
