Transmission Question 2019 GLS 450
We noticed that our 2019 GLS450 (about 45,000 miles) with the 9tronic transmission occasionally has a stutter shifting around the second gear. The automatic shift from 2nd to 3rd gear is sometimes not as smooth. This happens infrequently but still occurs. We noticed it usually occurs when driving up hills/mountains. Other than that the MB GLS450 works great. Should I be concerned with the transmission? Any suggestions? Thank you.

MB’s of all kinds.
When was the oil and filter changed? I would do a TCU reset to start. If not it is the character of the transmission. Unfortunately GLE,GLS,ML all has wonky transmissions. Reliable yes but not what a MB trans should be.

just wanted to follow up, I have the same issue. At low speed (in traffic from 2nd to 3rd gear) I sometimes experience a hard shift. Dealer said it’s normal, it doesn’t feel normal, did you ever. Fix it? Can you provide an update. I am still under CPO and just didn’t the trans service but it didn’t fix the issue. Thanks in advance.
