2018 GLS450 mbrace WiFi/Internet not functioning

I'm sure I'm not the only person having trouble with their mbrace Entertain Package WiFi not working. Has anybody found a solution? I've pretty much decided to cancel it and request a refund and then just get a stand alone hotspot for the kids to use their devices on when we're on road trips. But I wanted to take one more swing at it on this forum.

Here's what's happening. When I attempt to log on to the car's WiFi network with a phone or tablet, after selecting the car's SSID and entering the correct password/key, the device will tell me that I am connected but with no internet access and then prompt me to "sign in". Clicking on the additional "sign in" prompt takes me to a blank page. And that's it. No internet and a seemingly unnecessary additional sign in prompt that is a dead link.

I have called support countless times. On one occasion, my issue was elevated and I received a call requesting that I go out to my car to test it out because an update had been sent to the car. And holy cow, it worked! But the fix didn't last. And subsequent calls to support have been extremely frustrating, as nobody can tell me what had been done the one time that they were able to do anything.

As a side note, the internet radio that is supposed to come with the package as well (iHeartRadio and I think some other internet radio) have never worked in this car. Not even when the WiFi/internet has been functional.

I am having the same issue and problems with my 2017 s class. I was wondering if you were able to get it to work. I am taking it to the dealership to see if there is a solution but I am also looking to cancel that service

Nope. Still an issue. When I call, they just tell me I need to bring it to a dealership. And they won't acknowledge that there was some update made at some point that remedied the problem (albeit temporarily) so that if I bring it to a dealership they'll have some clue at what to look at.

My big problem is that the nearest dealership is in a town 45 minutes away. And also, that dealership really sucks and they always screw something up when I take it there. I just really don't want to take a day off of work to bring my car to an out of town dealership when it seems extremely obvious that the issue is a software problem that they should be (and have been) able to affect through a remote update.
