Engine knock on start
Hey there!
I have an issue. It's summer but I have occasional engine knock sound at start. It does not depend on the time and temperature. I'm in Michigan.
The vehicle can stay overnight on a parking lot and when I start it first it could be ok one day. The other day it has that sound. I may go shopping and when returned it may have the same sound or may not. I cannot figure out why is it occasional, not regular at certain conditions, like temperature. Oil was changed 1,500m ago, lvl is almost max (as always), same oil 5W-40, 123K miles.
To give an idea how it sounds, here is a similar video and the symptoms are exactly the same.
Any suggestions? Are valve lifters worn?
