Which tires are more suitable for the GLS?

My car is a GLS450 Could anyone recommend which tire is better?
1 Pirelli - SCORPION ZERO ALL SEASON,
2 Bridgestone - ALENZA AS ULTRA,
3 Continental CrossContact LX25
4 Continental Conti4x4Contact?

The one thar has the correct speed rating, tread pattern, and price for your intended use.

I like to not have my driving limited by inferior speed ratings so I get something rated for at least the car's top speed- even if it will never go that fast. I hate getting stuck , so I have an aggressive tread that does well in all conditions and surfaces (except snow- there's a spare set of wheels for winter use). I like not burning cash so i don't put unnecessarily expensive tires on it.

I've used Continentals and liked 'em.

I think the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros are OE on some MB SUVs. I have had road noise complaints and balancing issues with both Pirelli and Conti. I've decided to just do the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV (not the All Season version) on my GLS550.

Looking at prior owners records and the Pirellis lasted 32,000 miles. The Bridgestones are now at 26,000 with 5 mm remaining. So, they should be pretty close. Both are premium all season tires and should handle well, be quite and expensive.

I've had the Michelin Primacy Tour A/S on the GLS450 and was happy with them.

I would highly recommend you look at the Bridgestone Alenza Ultra. I'm on my 2nd set and there is absolutely no road noise throughout the lifespan of the tire. Good tread wear, great performance in all weather conditions and a reasonable price for the set. I think my total out the door cost was about $1,300. I just installed a new set on my F150 4wd to see how they react to a light truck.

Pirelli - SCORPION ZERO ALL SEASON - I have these now, no issues. Cant say that I have any complaints about road noise, Have towed/launched boats, taken 6x12 cargo box trailer on long trips. I have not tried others to compare it to, but these are not a bad choice imo.

We put a set of Yokohama Geolandars on ours. Can't complain. Hopefully they'll last more than 25,000 miles.

I bought my GLS CPO and it came with brand new Continentals which lasted 17000 miles! I bought Michelin Cross Climates and they currently have over 50000 and still going strong. Some road noise is the trade off I suppose.

CrossClimate 2

I used to have summer and winter wheel/tire setups, but when the CrossClimate 2 was released claiming 60k mi longevity and 3 Peak snow rating, I thought it was worth a try.

3+ years & 30k mi later and I will never get a different set of tires for my X166. The tires have lots of tread remaining, are super quiet, and most of all…I don’t have to swap for the dedicated winter wheel/tire setup any longer.

The car lives at 8k feet in the Rockies, and they perform really well in any amount of snow.
