Did some tire kicking today on the 2020 GLS... everyone on the lot had this alignment issue on the front passenger side door frame, so it was easy to spot them amongst all the cars. I've seen a production line video of Mercedes and the techs using a tool to check the tolerances on body gaps, etc. The bottom of the window frame was aligned, so it has something to do with the attachment of the black plastic pillar placement causing the trim to sit high. In my opinion. Surely they can see this going out the door.

Right over your head I see. When I say number of models I mean across their entire lineup, not just the GLS. Years ago Mercedes built like 1M a year, now they're at 2M a year and they're seemingly introducing something new all the time. Clearly the build quality is suffering in this mad dash to stuff a Benz in every garage.
