Looking at an in stock 2020 GLS 450. Has everything that we want except lighted running boards. The service manager said that they cannot/are not allowed to add them. The sales rep assures me that I can get them added by a third party installer. Any info or thoughts on this? Is it something about the dealer not cutting into the the under carriage shields? Thanks in advance.

For sure you can add the steps but might not be OEM .They are being sold on ebay and amazon without light $500-800
These look like oem on amazon for $699 free ship.

Bought OEM style running boards from Blackhorse. No problem. Not lighted but.... Installed and look good.
