What kind of pricing did you guys see/get on the 2020 GLS models? I'm seeing ~5% off. Is that fair?

Not seriously shopping right now, but when I test drove a GLS580 two weeks ago, the guy told me they were only doing $1-2k off 450 and MSRP For 580.

I was at 6.2% off a 450 order.

For reference, I was offered everywhere from 4-6%; wound up pulling the trigger at ~6.5%.

Looks like I might be late to your question to influence your order, but I was able to secure an 11% discount on my GLS 450. Taking advantage of the slow down (dealership was a skeleton crew).

Yeah, seems like I bought a week too early. With the dealership shutdowns, they are all pretty desperate to get rid of anything on the lot to lower liability & holding cost.

Just picked up a new 450 for 8% (7.8 to be fair) off. Had to travel 3 hours. Local dealer would only do 3%.

I got -6% with little hassle in doing so. Given the reduced inventory situation with factory shutdown over COVID and able to get exactly what we wanted (had to be brought in via a different dealership in a neighboring state), I was ok with the price tag.

I’m not tying to be creepy or hijack the thread - but I do caution anyone when I see real names being published. Internet is a scary place, and this is a forum for $100k vehicles. You sure you want to put your name on here like that?

Maybe I’m just paranoid or have too many friends in certain government agencies here in DC that have polluted my trust in mankind - but I do suggest reconsidering having your name out there in public here.... just trying to be friendly - not creepy!

Nothing on the internet is private either way. I do appreciate the concern, I think everyone has different comfort levels with this stuff - I've been very involved with internet stuff for over 2 decades now and don't have any notion of privacy with anything done on the 'net either way.

Totally your call my friend. Always makes me cringe though. I am willing to bet if you had a beer with some of my certain government employee friends - you might change your mind. It’s really spooky on here, and putting your name on the internet is a major no-no in my world. But it’s all about your own comfort level, for sure...
