Active curve (roll over risk?)

Have a question on the active curve feature that makes the car lean into a turn. If you’re in a turn and the car is leaned into it, but then you had to turn the other way quickly (say a deer or misjudged the turn), isn’t the car sort of compromised to roll over then? How does it shift the weight that quickly to basically not be taking an outside corner with the weight axis severely favoring the outer edge of the vehicle already?

I kind’ve fumbled the description, but think you all can see what I’m getting at, hopefully?

not sure the speed of the tech but the new 167 the system is elec vs hydraulic. I have never worried about the system on our 166. It’s such a great feature and makes you really notice it when you know the car should be leaning but yet it’s nearly flat in certain turns.

you got nothing to worry about.
e-ABC is 48 volt based system and it works so fast.
I don't know if you've seen the video of demo of e-ABC going on a uneven road at speed? the e-ABC suspension adjusts the dampers up and down so fast to even out the surface for the in-cabin experience.
that's the speed it works on Active Curve setup. besides, the tilt is not that significant. only a couple of degrees of lean. it's pretty slick system and I love it.
I would imagine that if you are in the middle of curve that got the GLS in full tilt and if you have to steering the opposite direction (enough to make it tilt the other way), then the angle of lean of your GLS is not going to be your biggest issue. you're probably in some serious trouble.
tip over is not an issue. it doesn't lean that much.

it's the same ABC system that MB had for years. e-ABC is just quicker because it's on 48 volt system.
I really like the system. now do I think it's honestly worth $6,500? I'm not entirely sure if it's worth that much....
would I get it again? yes.

just my 2 cents.

A gaggle of MB's
Think of Active Curve as Intelligent Sway Bar - meaning the sway bar increases in resistance on the side at the inside of a curve ... no, it doesn't change the center of gravity of the MB..

The original post seems to be referring to the “Curve” mode of E-ABC and not the “active curve” feature that was available on the prior generation. The E-ABC “curve” does change the center of gravity since it adjust the height of at least one side of the vehicle.
