Weigh your GLS580

I weighed my GLS 580 yesterday and was surprised. It was 6240# with me in it, 7/8 tank of fuel and less than 100 lbs of cargo. 3140# 3594 on the front axle and 3100# on the rear axle. Spec says it is 5754 lbs, and I do not have any options except 22 inch wheels, add 300 lbs for me and my cargo and it is approx. 200 lbs heavier than spec. What is your experience? Does this reduce my payload capacity by 200lbs? Payload is 1245# so if I add it to spec. of 5754# I get 6999# or if I add it to actual 5940# I get 7185#. The tag in the door GVWR 7485#. Nothing adds up! What should I believe? My gut tells me to go with actual 5940# and tag GVWR 7485# and get better load capacity of 1545#. For those who may be interested, axle limits are 3594# front 4079# rear and I am doing this to ensure I load the vehicle towing my 6500# trailer safely.
