Replacement Windshield Wipers?
My car came with what I believe are defective wiper blades. They screech like crazy when they go up and down on the windshield with normal rain. They are ok when using the windshield wiper spray until it wears off. I have cleaned the windshield at length and wiped them with rubbing alcohol numerous times to try to quiet them but no improvement. I have made the decision to replace them but it turns out there is a global shortage of Mercedes X167 wiper blades due to supply constraints. (Unless you have magic vision in which case you can find them). I have thought of getting an aftermarket pair ex. Bosch to try them out - but their model guides only go up to 2019 models. Has anyone else replaced wiper blades and if so, which kind did you get?

I had mine in yesterday to the dealer with the same issue. He told me they just released a bulletin in the last week on them. They are looking at redesigning them and replacing them. He was going to let me know when Mercedes finalized everything.

Thanks for the info. Who knows how many months that will take to complete! No ETA I’m guessing.
Did they give you the bulletin number by any chance? My service advisor told me that “that’s how all wipers by Mercedes sound” - I would like to tell him about the bulletin.

So I tried “Gyeon Q2 View” on my windshield as suggested and had no difference other than windshield being slightly hydrophobic. Wipers still chatter terribly (2nd OEM set). Was a waste..
took it to dealer and they are working on it but don’t know how to get the Gyeon off to diagnose problem (part of which is to see spray and bead pattern without any coatings on) ..anyone try getting it off??

Odd that you have chatter, I just re-applied a fresh Q2 View to my windshield & wipers and there is zero chatter.

Took delivery of a brand new GLS, first week driving it, it starts raining. As soon as I turn on the wipers, it starts to slam.
was told by dealer that this is the same design across all GLS.
The wipers bangs are really distracting and I can't concentrate driving. There's no solution from dealer. What can I do?
