Axiom tire and wheel protection?
Quoted $2995 for a 7 year policy for tire and wheel protection thru Axiom at the dealership. Covers any issues in its entirely. Buying the car, 7 yr warranty (thru Jeff Jackson), but tire and wheel has to be purchased at the dealership.
$3000? Seems excessive....? Never had a MB before.
Should I purchase this? Be kind...I think its crazy...but maybe it's not? Are the wheels/rims that expensive?? 20" michelin primacy tour , not the run flats.

You also need to read the language carefully to see what it covers and what is excluded. I highly doubt they are going to replace the tires just because they run out of tread, so I’m assuming it is only for road hazard damage. A lot of tire policies will “prorate” the payout based on mileage, so they don’t pay the full cost of a new tire if you pick up a nail after 10K miles. If you live in a cold area with poor road maintenance and therefore risk a lot of pothole damage to rims and tires, it might be worth it. Otherwise, 3K pays for a lot of tire and rim repairs and it’s unlikely it would ever be more than 1 at a time, so probably better to “self insure”.

I’ve had one from CNA for the last 3 years when I bought my 2014 E350 as a CPO. It has the 18 inch AMG wheels that are notorious for bending. Think I paid around $2,500 for it. I’ve used it 4 times that involved two tires and bending back the rim. Costs $150 to fix a bent rim, and a tire from the dealership is around $180. So on that math, I’ve used probably $1,000 of it in 3 years and roughly 25,000 miles.
skip it is my opinion. Pay as you go. We have the 21’ on the GLS and we skipped it. Only time it’ll really help to break even on the cost is if you crack a rim or two. Doubt that’ll happen..
