Anyone else still waiting for delivery on a 2020?
Is anyone else still waiting for delivery on a 2020 GLS? I placed an order for a GLS 580 last December. It went B4 (production started) on 6/16 and had an estimated production date of 6/22. Since then nobody has been able to provide an update on what the status is or why it hasn’t been delivered. I have talked to both my dealer and MBUSA customer advocacy and neither of them seem to have a clue. The dealer provided screenshots from Netstar, but there have been no updates since 6/16.
I get that there are supply chain issues due to Covid, but the total lack of communication and information has been disappointing and not at all what I expected when purchasing a > $100K vehicle. I’m shocked that MB thinks this is ok.

The vehicle finally arrived in the beginning of December (as a 2020). It apparently was manufactured in June, but had been sitting around waiting on parts for months. The dealer wasn't even expecting it and hadn't paid for it yet when it arrived. I had a good discount on it and didn't feel like waiting around again, otherwise I would have rejected it and waited for a 2021. The dealer said he had many orders that ended up in the same status. Not a great first customer service experience from Mercedes, but the car is fantastic.

We purchased from a dealership in the DC area. However, I get the feeling the issues (other than communications related) were caused by MBUSA more than the dealership itself.
