Espresso Brown Interior Apparently Backordered
Hey everyone!
I placed an order for a 2021 GLS450 (I’m located in Toronto, Canada) and and I optioned the Espresso Brown interior. Today, I received a call from the sales rep telling me that for whatever reason the Espresso Brown and Truffle Brown are backordered until July 2021. They’re trying to get me to spec the Black or Beige interior. I’ve never seen such a long delay for just the interior colour, it definitely seemed really sketchy to me. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this is a normal occurrence?
Any advice on whether this is reasonable would be greatly appreciated

I’ve heard the same on the GLE forum, which uses the same seats. So I would say it’s most likely true.

Please for the love of everything holy. Do not get espresso brown interior. It's an immediate hit on the resale market. The color does not age well.

I had Expresso Brown on my ML. 6 years later 115kms looked brand new. I used Lexol treatment once a year thats it. I would have it again but in Canada the 2020 GLS with expresso brown only comes with white headliner which was a deal-breaker for me.
