Floor mats

Did anyone get the MB floor mats? If so, do they have any lip at the edge at all? I like the idea that they are softer - seems more comfortable on the feet, but i did want some protection from liquids/melted snow. But that said, I don’t need the full lip of the weathertec if the MB ones have lips.

I got the mb floor mats. They seem to have more rubberized feel and provide more grip than the weathertec liners I bought for the 2nd and 3rd row. I like that the weathertec goes over the hump in the 2nd row thus protecting the carpet in the middle row all the way across

Thanks! Are the MB mats flat or do they have a bit of a flared lip at the edges?

I ordered my all-weather floor mats from MB last week. They are currently on backorder, so I have no idea when they will arrive. They did have the full-size rear boot mat and I love it. It covers the third-row seats just like I wanted. I will hardly ever use the third row, so that is exactly what I wanted.

Is this for a 6 or 7 seat configuration? Thinking of similar - getting the MB floor mats 167-680-63-06-9G33 for the front but weathertec’s one piece 2nd/3rd row - like that it covers the in between the captain’s chairs. There is another thread talking about weathertec blocking vents in the 3rd row - any issue with that?

I have 7 seats configuration. I too had to trim the rubber mats to keep clear of the vent.

I have the MB all-weather mats. They are much better than the old Weathertec-sourced ones in my 2014, but still not as nice as Lexus’s. A little slippery and show dirt easily. They do have a lip, except for right under the gas pedal. The rear trunk mat has a deep lip that goes all the way around. Here are some pictures.

We have the factory mats that you show. They seem to do a good job, stay put, and trap crud in a way that's easy to clean. They do show dust and streaks, but it's as winter mat, so it's OK.
I agree about the Weathertec ones for our past '14 - they were among the worst I have ever had.

Another source for good mats is Lloyd's - https://www.lloydmatsstore.com/

Looking at the options - at least from the pictures - I like the all weather Kagu mats the best vs. Weathertech or even the Mercedes Dynamic Squares. They have 3D mats for the 2021 GLE -- assume at least the driver/passenger ones would work for the GLS as well? Not sure I want to purchase a whole GLE set just to get the front ones -- but as of now I think 3D MAXpider for front and the Weatherteck one-piece for the 2nd/3rd row for 6 seat option is my preference if mixing and matching.

I was able to find 3D selling just the front 3DMaxpider mats on Amazon (in the description it even says GLE/GLS), so went ahead and purchased them and then separately bought Weathertech for the rear (since they seemed to have the best 6 seat 2nd/3rd row mat design).

Really like the material and look for the 3Ds. At first was a little worried as only 1 of the 4 mat snaps click in tightly. But between the holes at least being aligned and the material on the back of the 3Ds catching the carpet, the mats do not move at all. Very happy with them. I like the 3D material a lot more than the Weathertech rubber, but the Weathertech design covering the middle is great for the back. As others mentioned did have to make cuts for the 3rd row vent.

I had also emailed 3DU/Ace Inc about GLS mats, and they replied saying the following are the GLS mats item numbers (unfortunately no single 2nd/3rd row combo for the 6 seat configuration):

L1MB13001509 (full set/blck kagu)
L1MB11811509 (Row 1/blck kagu)
L1MB13021509 (row 2/no executive rear seat package/ blck kagu)
L1MB13031509 (row 3 / blck kagu)

Pictures of them installed...

Thanks for the pics. Now you can make a longer term comparison of the two mats.
The problem I have had with Weathertech (2 sets) was that the edges curled inward after a few months, inviting and collecting debris from around the perimeter and grinding it into the carpeting. The new Weathertechs look to be more substantial - keep us posted please!
