GLS has the GLE picture on start up screen but the vehicle representation and everything else is a GLS.
I have also seen others that just show the star?
I have the same software version. I see the star (briefly) when I open the door, but that is quickly covered by the sign that says don't forget the key. After that the picture of the front grill appears.
What indicator says that it is a GLE? I think they look about the same with this type of image, so just curious.

i don't own either car (yet), but that for sure is the front end of the GLE and not the GLS. here's what the GLS front end looks like - the headlights are completely different:

Gotcha. Well in that case this looks like latest software and all of those are current screens that show at one point or another. As a software developer I'd say it's a safe bet updating that is pretty low on the list of priorities.
