After the last thread, convinced to go with the GLS 450. How much % MSRP discounts have you guys been receiving?

Also, a side question: does anyone actually pay cash for these cars? lol. I'm asking because I'm wondering if people are getting any cash back rebates or better discounts for financing through their deals. Not considering a lease at all

My dealer offered a lower APR by about 35 bps than the already good APR that I got from Chase Auto Financing. So now the vehicle has a lien from MB Finance instead of from Chase Auto. Did not get any other deal since the vehicle I was looking for was quite specific.

Was that a signed offer, or just a come-on?

REALLY?

So for a $90,000 price, your dealer was willing to give it to you for $82,800?

Who is your dealer? I would like to see what is in their inventory.

The deal was 8% off a unit that is inventory or can be traded for, 5% off a special order.

Other dealers were giving me quotes of 5% off or msrp. It is a high volume dealer. I can PM you.

Hi, "The Critic". Would you kindly share the dealer name with me also? I am in the market for a fully-loaded GLS.

Thanks,

I recently ordered a 2021 special order due in June. After shopping the upper midwest dealers that are around me MSRP -5% was the lowest I was able to obtain from dealers within reasonable distance to still be the servicing dealer. Almost every dealer started at -2% and we had to negotiate down from there.

New to the forum and following. Looking to replace my '16 Porsche Cayenne with more cargo space for road trips. Started looking at the new GLS450's and I have to say, I'm impressed. I received an email from one of the local dealers offering 3% off a few of the cars in their inventory. I'm a little concerned with the reliability issues, but so far, I'm leaning towards getting one.

Welcome to MBWorld,

Here you will find a vast knowledge of ideas that would cover pretty much everything you want to know about particular Mercedes-Benz vehicles. With that said, take everything you read here with a grain of salt and maintain a certain sense of objectivity. Not everyone will have good experiences with their cars to the point of hating them and swearing never to buy another MB again, while others will gush about how their Mercedes' are the best cars they have ever driven.

So post your questions, read the responses and make your own judgement.

Also in the market. Recently saw this below. Not sure if this is a good deal, plus it already has 14k on the odometer....

Hi - I am New here. In Northern NJ area. I am coming from other brands (BMW and Volvo). Looking to lease a '21 GLS 450. Spoke with a local dealer and he quoted me 1.5% off MSRP. I have negotiated my previous cars on invoice + markup basis. Can someone recommend a dealer who maybe willing to get to 8-10% range off MSRP or invoice + markup basis? Appreciate the help. Thanks

Placed a new factory order for a 580 last Saturday. Going to be awhile before I get it but negotiated 4% of MSRP. Dealer started at 2.5% and I got them to 4%.

For my BTO, the dealer ultimately offered a 3.5% discount and a generous offer on my trade-in, so probably overall 4.5%.

Wait so you already received your BTO vehicle? I recall you put in an order late Feb or early March and I can see you already have the vehicle. Was that the BTO or did you purchase from inventory?

It’s the BTO I ordered an early December. As I noted in another thread the dealer didn’t want to hold it for me in late March when it was delivered, but I was able to purchase it a week age at an even better discount. It’s totally awesome, and even though I might’ve preferred a 580, in sport mode the performance is more than satisfactory.

Got mine at 7.5% off at a dealer in NJ. I was looking for a pretty specific spec so I didnt have a ton to choose from and leverage discount too hard. Thought 7-8% was fair. If you're flexible on colors and options, my guess is you can go even deeper by having more options out there.
