2nd Row Tablet charging/discharging?
Hello! I'm new here - first post!
Took delivery of my 2021 GLS 580 a week ago. I'm noticing that the tablet in the 2nd row seems to be around 20-30% charged every time we get in the car. It charges while I'm driving, but then is very low again the next day. Naturally, I'm not back there and can't reach it, but the kids check it for me periodically. We've tried pressing the power button before getting out of the car to turn it off, but it was still at 19% the next morning.
Is this normal? Are we supposed to remove it and bring it into the house at night, like a pet? <insert eye roll>

Welcome, @Purple-Albie ! Thanks for including your car and location in your signature. It'll help people responding to your posts.
Good luck with your tablets.

You say it charges while you are driving. Does it actually get to 100%? Maybe there is not enough time for it to fully charge. Try taking it out and charging it at home once.
My tablet never gets used and it is always at 100%.

Welcome to MBWorld.
It seems that your issue is more of a function of the tablet and not of the charger. If you leave any tablet on overnight, it will lose power. Leaving it in a parked car that is not on will not charge it. The purpose of the car charger is to charge your electronics while driving, not while parked overnight.

Thanks for input.
I took it in the house and charged it for a full day, and that seems to have helped — now it seems to get to 100% and is more likely to stay there.
It auto shuts off when the motor goes off (although doesn’t power down), but I think if must be a design flaw if the battery dies overnight all winter long (in warm weather, shouldn’t be as much of an issue). Anyway, will see if it stays better now it is fully charged to start.
