Purchase New GLS450 or not?

I am in meed of a larger suv and am thinking about ordering a new GLS450. I currently have a GLC300 loaded which I have been very pleased with except it is now too small given some changes in my life. Looking for any advice on what not to order option wise such as larger tires, etc.
Thanks in advance.

GLS450
Just last week we put in our order for the gls450. We looked (for some time) at the audi q7, the bmw x7, and a bunch of other options (like the new 7 seat lexus). We settled on the gls450 - currently have a bmw. The GLS back seat was more comfortable for my kids and seemingly larger (than the x7), it was enjoyable to drive, and more space than the q7.

We looked at the highest "value" options for our needs and settled on: Panorama roof, 5-zone automatic climate control, Driver Assistance Package PLUS, Illuminated running boards, 20-inch twin 5-spoke.

Hope that helps!

The GLS is a great choice, if you need the extra space but don't exactly need the 3rd row, or just want it for in a pinch situations, the GLE, Genesis GV80, and Audi Q7 are all great choices. The X7 is also a good option to consider although it is much smaller in terms of passenger and cargo space compared to the GLS. Just be warned, its best to shop around for GLS as the cars are non-existent in inventory at the moment, with many dealers placing markups upon these vehicles.

As for what options to get, for me, if I were to spec out a '22 GLS 450, I would go for the following:

-AMG Line Exterior
-Panoramic Roof
-Drivers Assistance Package Plus (if you like Adaptive Cruise)
-Heated Steering Wheel/Ventilated Seats (Dependent on Climate)

Caveat emptor regarding the 48V system. Do your due diligence diligently.

Good choice. I'd go for the pano roof; MB TEX vs. leather (MB TEX wears like iron); I like the augmented realty thing if you can get it; driver assist plus so you get the distance cruise control. I'd also get the trailer tow stuff even if you never plan to tow (resale and you never know what the future holds! Plus it's a total PITA to retrofit). Personally, I'd go for the 19 inch wheels, but by the time you load one of these up it will likely come with 20's or 21's. Mine has 21's, and it's not too bad, but the bigger sidewalls would give a smoother ride. The real problem is what you want vs. what they will build or can get. Some options are scarce or gone right now, and no guarantee if you order it will actually show up with everything you want. If you see one on a lot that has the goodies you like, get it. It could be another year before these thing become more abundant.

Does anyone have the order sheet for the new 2022 GLS 450? I spoke to my dealer on the phone and they said the AMG Package is an option now for the GLS 450! This is great news!

Welcome to the MBWorld.

My first suggestion is for you to spend about three days reading through these forums about the X167, probably even the X166.
Afterwards, you can have more targeted questions that anyone can answer.
