Forward View Camera Lines
Less than 24 hours after I picked up my 2021 GLS 450, I drove my son to his Kindergarten bus stop, made a K turn to turn around and lined up with the side walk like I do/did every morning with my 2013 GL450. However, I curbed my front passenger wheel even though the camera lines said I had a few inches still to go to the curb. Very disappointing and its my fault of course, but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that the camera lines are not quite right. I have the 21" triple spoke wheels, could they stick out further than the stock 20"? Maybe the camera lines aren't changed for the different wheels. Just pondering how to avoid this in the future. I tried parallel parking this afternoon leaving a couple more inches between me and the curb and ended up over a foot away.

you're not the first person to have one this, and most certainly won't be the last. i have the same rims and had the same experience. i was parking against a curved sidewalk and put a small scuff on my front passenger rim thinking in had more room. on my audi q5, if the line doesn't touch the curb, your wheels won't touch either...not true for the gls. i just leave more room for error now. i don't need to be an inch away from the curb. one nice feature - when i let the car parallel park itself, it leaves just about the right amount of room between wheels and the curb.
