Smartphone usb jack

I finally received my 21 GLS450. We love it. Only feature that got cancelled from the build was augmented reality.

I have found the location of the smartphone USB port to be very annoying. It’s behind the cup holders and it’s hard to place the phone on the wireless charging mat with a cable plugged in… are there any other smartphone plug in ports such that I can run apple car play? Or is there a way to Convert another port into smartphone port?

That is the only port and I agree it is horribly placed. Hopefully the next model will have wireless.

Thanks. Very poor design thought. Wish the usb Jack in the center console armrest was the smartphone compatible. Oh well.

To be helpful..

1. If you have the cable connected to your phone - that is a Hi-Charge USB port - so now slow wireless charging required.

2. For better "cable fitting" :
