MY22 GLS V8's Returning - Order Banks Open Next Month
My GM and other MB Stores have confirmed that all G-Wagon, GLE, and GLS V8 models are returning for the 2022 Model Year and will likely be produced in May, with order banks opening early February and VERY LIMITED allocations.

This is good to hear. I was told this last summer and commented below in the GLS 2023 post. Sounds like they may even be ahead of schedule in restoring the V8's...Long Live the V8.
