Collision detection - how does it work?

Hello. I am still under 1 year of my x167 gls 450. I saw this this morning (nov15) at 730am saying on nov12 4:42am there was a collision.

i looked around the car and I didn’t see anything obvious.

I drove the car yesterday for 10 min and i didn’t see this screen. My phone app didn’t have any collision alert also. And this nov12 is 2 days ago.

questions,

1) is the picture in the screen suppose to tell you where the collision happened ?

2) why is it reporting it 2 days later ? There was none yesterday

3) after I click on no, I could not find this message anywhere anymore. Is there a history somewhere?

thanks

Take a look back at my June 19, 2022 post entitled "Collision Detected." When something rocks the car it sends out a notice through Mercedes Me Connect and a notice appears in the MBUX display. As I recall, the notice that appeared on my Apple Watch was that the car had been involved in a "major collision" and offered to call the police and or an ambulance. I have no idea why your notice appeared two days after the alleged collision. The electronics in these cars are glitchy. This week, mine showed a "check engine" warning light for about three starts, so I called the dealer to make an appointment have it checked out. On the next start, the light did not come back on. I get warnings all the time that the cameras are not available yet they work just fine. This morning the "cameras not available" warning was accompanied by a warning that the automatic high beam system was inoperative. I really think that Mercedes deliberately built the glitches into the MBUX system just to give us something to complain about.
