Trailer Hitch 2022 GLS450
Has anyone installed a trailer hitch on 450? Mine didn't come with one, and now I needed one. It is a 2022 GLS 450. The dealership said that this needs to be installed during production.

I'm just speculating here......my build sheet includes option 550 Trailer Hitch, and also option 557 Increased Towing Capacity with Trailer Hitch. My guess is that option 557 has to be installed during production, and this is what the dealer means. Surely a hitch can be installed aftermarket, although it would likely have a reduced towing capacity. Also curious if an aftermarket hitch would affect the warranty?

A hitch to meet the capable 7,700 towing capacity of the GLS 450 cannot be added after the fact, unfortunately.
